This week we’re telling the inspirational story of NASCAR’s first black driver: Wendell Scott. From helping his dad in the garage as a kid , to becoming his hometown’s fastest cab driver, to moonlighting as a bootlegger, Wendell’s entire life seemed destined for the race track- but it wouldn’t be that easy. Wendell persevered through discrimination off the track, and battled it on the track when he finally got there.
