How to work with your voice to better understand yourself and others: Uria Tsur I Talks 21

Talks 21 — The Karel Janeček Podcast

Každých 21 dní zve Karel Janeček k upřímné a otevřené konverzaci výjimečné osobnosti z různých oblastí – vědy, filozofie, vzdělávání, zdraví, technologií, spirituality a systémových změn. Every 21 days, Karel Janeček hosts open and honest conversations with outstanding guests from science, philosophy, education, health, technology, spirituality, and systemic transformation. Talks 21 is a space for depth, authenticity, and inspiration. We seek fresh perspectives, the courage to see things differently, and ideas that help us live lives that are authentic, meaningful, and free – for ourselves and for our children.

🎵 What role can music play in a time full of rush, pressure, and mutual misunderstanding? And what happens when we pause for a moment and start to really listen to ourselves and others? In episode 9 of Talks 21, I invited Uria Tsur, a musician and teacher who works with singing as a path to greater presence and authenticity. In the interview, he shows that music is not just entertainment, but a natural part of human communication that can help us open up topics that are sometimes difficult to explain in words. We talked about what happens when a person sings without pressure to perform, and how this creates a state of flow in which our perception naturally changes. We also touched on the role of the mind—the moments when it helps us and when it unnecessarily holds us back. And we opened up the topic of negative emotions: why briefly accepting them can do more than suppressing them, and how music can offer a space to express them without being consumed by them. At the end of our conversation, a little surprise awaits you – Uri's unreleased song, which beautifully sums up everything we talked about together. If you want to learn more about his work, music, or participate in one of his workshops yourself, you can find everything on his website: 🔗 www.uriatsur.com Chapters 0:00:00 Theme song 0:00:13 Introduction 0:01:18 What music is and why it is not just entertainment 0:08:08 How flow is created and how to stay in it 0:12:43 How to respond to the pressures of today's society 0:23:15 What sadness and pain can teach us 0:30:38 When to push and when to let things be 0:37:30 How to overcome hatred between groups 0:46:07 Is it possible to achieve a true connection? 0:47:50 What Uri's work looks like in practice 0:50:19 Uri's song ===== 🎵 Jakou roli může mít hudba v době plné spěchu, tlaku a vzájemného neporozumění?
