Learn English through a real travel story as Harry talks about his summer holiday in Vancouver and Vancouver Island. You’ll hear useful English vocabulary and phrases for holidays, travel, sightseeing, outdoor activities, weather, food and wildlife, including expressions such as jet lag, take the plunge, put something off, spectacular views, hike, excursion, bucket list and staycation . The episode also gives you plenty of natural spoken English in context, so you can hear how these words are used in a longer conversation.
This lesson is useful for intermediate and upper-intermediate English learners who want to improve listening skills, build travel vocabulary and speak more naturally about holidays and personal experiences. Listen for the expressions Harry uses to describe places, activities and memorable moments, then try using some of them when you talk about your own trips. It is a practical way to learn English vocabulary while getting more comfortable with natural spoken English.
