Lea Ypi: K čemu je dnes Evropa? // What is Europe for today?

Politická filozofka a spisovatelka Lea Ypi, autorka knih Free a Indignity, se na Velké stagi Inspiračního fóra MFDF Ji.hlava ptala, jakou budoucnost má před sebou Evropa. Pokud má Evropa přežít, musí znovu vymyslet, koho reprezentuje, komu patří a jakou budoucnost dokáže slíbit. Funguje EU pro všechny stejně, nebo i mezi členskými státy fungují elity a „ti druzí“? A jak se rozšiřování EU podobá večernímu korzu ( xhiro ) v komunistické Albánii?

Political philosopher and writer Lea Ypi, author of Free and Indignity, explored the future of Europe at the Inspiration Forum’s Big Stage at Ji.hlava IDFF. If Europe is to survive, it must rethink who it represents, who it belongs to, and what kind of future it can promise. Does the EU work equally for everyone, or do the dynamics of elites and “the others” exist between member states, too? And how is EU enlargement similar to the evening xhiro (stroll) in communist Albania?
