O-News.cz Podcast: Yannick Michiels: The World Cup should combine sprints with forest more often

Pořadem provází Dan Wolf a David Procházka.

This week we are here with a very special episode. Despite the fact that we are the Czech Orienteering Podcast, for the first time in O-News.cz Podcast history we’ve decided to publish an episode in English. We hope you will enjoy the episode all the more because we have a very special guest today. Very fast Belgian runner focusing on sprint Yannick Michiels. How did Yannick become a world class orienteerer? Is it possible to do orienteering for a living in Belgium? Is Belgium ready to host EOC next year? How does Yannick train for WOC in Scotland and what is his signature training? Why doesn't he like theoretical preparations? How does Yannick as a sprinter feel about current World Cup programme? Does he still have some goals in athletics? And what is the difference between "Michiels" and "Hubmann" tactics in orienteering sprints? Listen to the entire episode full of very inspiring talk.
