Episode 2 – MY EMANCIPATION DON’T FIT IN YOUR EQUATION – theKEEPERS (Akua Naru & Sammus)

The second episode of Mary C's new podcast
The hurdles that stand in the way of women, trans* and non-binary people in hip hop are being highlighted by a unique project called TheKeeper - a digital archive focusing on, and highlighting the representation of women, trans* and non-bianry people in hip hop culture, as well as their significance for the culture on a global scale. Where do women of rap disappear to? What exhausts them? Why is keeping focus on black feminism so crucial? And how does an archive become a living global community? In the second episode of My Emancipation Don’t Fit In Your Equation podcast series, the movers of culture and guardians of theKeeper archive, Akua Naru and Sammus, are sharing their experience from the rap scene as well as the academic spheres.

Popis podcastu
The Institute of Anxiety creates a space for the study of anxiety, which is spreading throughout society and manifests itself through insomnia, stress, alienation, loss of empathy, inequalities, and violence. It is suppressed without success by products of the pharmaceutical industry and intensified by growing social and economic uncertainty. The institute aims to be a platform where anxiety communicates and opens itself to a potential solution and turns into a force that is capable of radicalizing and forcing structural changes in the current state of affairs.
