The language you need when you want to give simple instructions - how to use a coffee machine. Instrukce jsou pro větší srozumitelnost obvykle rozděleny do několika kroků. A tyto jednotlivé kroky uvádíme následujícími obraty: first of all (nejdříve), then, after that, when you've finished (po ukončení, když káva doteče.) First of all, choose what you want - tea, for example. Then press this button. Then put in some money. (Vhoďte mince) Then wait for the light. Hugh Er … sorry, how do I get a cup of coffee? I can’t work this out. Emma Oh, sure! It’s a bit complicated ! Hold on. Look, first of all, switch it on here. Hugh Yeah. Emma OK, Choose what coffee you want - there’s about four different choices. Er that one’s quite nice. So, press this button, if that’s the one you want … Hugh mmmm Emma Put your money in. And then, wait for the green light. Er, after that, the cup’ll drop down, and the coffee should pour. And when you’ve finished … Hugh mmm? Emma … just press that button, and it puts it back onto standby. Hugh Oh great! Hugh neví, jak automat funguje: I can't work this out – I can't understand how it works.
