Renee’s Diary | A2 Journey – Part 5: What Can Change in 6 Weeks?

Czech Your Day

Czech Your Day is a daily podcast that helps foreigners really understand and learn Czech through weekly topics. Each episode of the week gets you one step closer to understanding Friday's episode - the story. Renča shows not only the "textbook version" of Czech, but also the "real-life Czech" (that means the way Czech people speak at home or with their friends). Yes, that's exactly what foreigners struggle with - being able to have a normal conversation with your Czech friends and colleagues. Renča also shares her tips and tricks that will help you on your learning journey. Keep listening and you will realize that your Czech is definitely getting better 😉 You can find transcripts/handouts from each episode on Renča's website CZECH-ME.COM.

Send Renča a text 😉Renee had spent 10 months taking individual 90-minute Czech lessons with one goal: to prepare for her A2 exam. But as the exam was getting closer, she realised she wasn’t ready. That’s when she contacted me.And we had just six weeks. When we started working together, it became clear that we weren’t simply filling a few gaps or doing final exam practice. There were important foundations missing, and in many ways, we had to start from the beginning. Now those six weeks are over. And Renee has taken the exam. So… what happened? In Part 5 of Renee’s Diary | A2 Journey, we sit down after the exam and talk about what happened on exam day — but also about something much bigger. What can really change in six weeks? What surprised Renee about the way she had been learning Czech before? What does she think about her Czech now?And after 10 months of individual lessons followed by six very different weeks… what did this experience teach her about learning a language? This isn’t just a story about passing or failing an exam. It’s a story about what progress can actually look like.Listen to Renee tell it in her own words.Want to experience Czech differently?Renee spent these six weeks working with Czech inside the Czech Your Day Community and through our intensive A2 preparation. If you’ve been learning Czech for months — maybe even years — but still feel that what you study isn’t becoming Czech you can actually use, you can explore the Community and discover a different way of experiencing the language.EXPLORE CZECH YOUR DAY COMMUNITY Don’t study Czech.
