Czech Dialogues Unplugged: Mastering 'Have' in the Past Tense

Czech Your Day

Czech Your Day is a daily podcast that helps foreigners really understand and learn Czech through weekly topics. Each episode of the week gets you one step closer to understanding Friday's episode - the story. Renča shows not only the "textbook version" of Czech, but also the "real-life Czech" (that means the way Czech people speak at home or with their friends). Yes, that's exactly what foreigners struggle with - being able to have a normal conversation with your Czech friends and colleagues. Renča also shares her tips and tricks that will help you on your learning journey. Keep listening and you will realize that your Czech is definitely getting better 😉 You can find transcripts/handouts from each episode on Renča's website CZECH-ME.COM.

You will have the chance to practice the expressions you have learnt this week (#51-#54).You will hear both dialogues in Standard Czech (= textbook version = the one you need for exams or formal situations). And as a bonus, you will hear the first dialogue in a really informal version (real-life Czech). Renča has used lots of informal expressions (also the way she pronounces certain words - eg. od - do, zítra,... - expresses the level of informality (to be honest, she wouldn't use as many informal expressions in one dialogue (it's too informal for her taste), but she wanted to show you different options).I highly recommend you to download the handout + check the article with English translations here: https://czech-me.com/czech-dialogues-unplugged-mastering-have-in-the-past-tenses02-e55-daily-podcast-czech-your-day/The list of all episodes is here: https://czech-me.com/daily-podcast-czech-your-day/The link (COMMUNITY Czech Your Day): https://czech-me.com/join-community-czech-your-day/00:21 Overview of Today's Episode01:48 Dialogue 1: Standard Czech02:21 Dialogue 2: Standard Czech03:13 Bonus: Real-life Czech
