Shepard objevuje v archivu zakrvácenou podprsenku (Jane Doe 59)

Nález těla Jane Doe 59 a průběh činu u Mulholland Drive

Brýle, chybné zajištění stop a ztracené příležitosti forenzně

Testování DNA: spuštění programu a odeslání podprsenky

Helter Skelter a úvahy o Mansonovi; nápad prověřit paralely

Paralela: zmínka o případu Mariny Habe

Marina Habe: návrat z Havaje, bydliště a večer před zmizením

Abdukce před domem: svědectví matky, černý sedan, „jeď!“

Prohlídka Marinina vozu: chybějící brýle a „přetažená“ ruční brzda

Časová osa: limuzína, Troubadour a návrat k Johnovi

Shepardův názor: Marina dojela domů; otázky kolem Johna

Svědek z party: bez dramatu, fáma o ženatém „příteli“

Johnův sňatek vs. rodinné tvrzení o jiném (armádním) příteli

Apel na posluchače: tipy k Marině

Nález kabelky a těla; rány, SA indicie; čas smrti po jídle

Možní dva pachatelé/odlišné nože; paralela „jídlo před smrtí“

Vyšetřovací linie 1969: útoky v okolí, Collins, „Manson MO“ seznam

Odstup od „Manson linky“ a riziko slepých skvrn

Snaha propojit případy a získat Marinin kit; bariéry u LASD

Výsledek DNA z podprsenky: ženský profil bez shody; mediální apel

Michelle McNamara naslouchá; Shepard odchází do penze

Identifikace: sestra pozná Reet na blogu; prsten a DNA to potvrzují

Reet: rodinné zázemí a přesun Toronto–LA

„Boyfriend Jean“ a „roommate Jean“; poslední pohlednice z 31. 10. 1969

Co řekl „roommate Jean“; plán navštívit bratra; jazyková bariéra

Proč nebyla nahlášena pohřešovaná; snahy rodiny a PI; problematické skici

Ověření adresy v LA u Paramountu: demolice, žádné záznamy

Rozlišení osob „John/Jean“; chybějící vazby mezi případy

Pátrání po „Jeanech“: svědek-číšník, skici, možný „Pierre“ medik

Rivera po získání spisu LASD (2016): případy spíše nesouvisejí

Teorie zvlášť: Marina – náhodný sexuálně motivovaný útok; OSS otec; Reet – intimní násilí

Podezřelý „Spanky“ (Kirk Smith) zmiňován v tisku; bez přímé vazby

Důkazní frustrace: možná netestovaná evidence; možná poškození vodou

Reet: povaha útoku („intimní“); klíč je najít „Jeany“

Rivera v penzi, ale pokračuje; výzva veřejnosti k tipům

Konkrétní výzvy: Troubadour, autobusy, byty, medici v Montrealu/Torontu

Kontakty a jurisdikce: zkontrolujte show notes

In 2003, an LAPD cold case detective digging through old case files finds a piece of forgotten evidence that belongs to an unidentified woman found murdered off Mulholland Drive in 1969. As he searches for her identity, he uncovers eerie parallels to another young woman killed nearby just months earlier. And he starts to wonder — are these cases linked by coincidence... or by a killer who's never been caught?

If you or someone you know has information about Reet Jurvetson, you can call the LAPD’s anonymous tip line at 877-527-3247 or you can submit a tip anonymously to LA Crimestoppers at 800-222-TIPS or lacrimestoppers.org.

If you or someone you know has information about Marina Habe, you can call the LASD’s homicide bureau at 323-890-5500 or you can submit a tip anonymously to LA Crimestoppers at 800-222-TIPS or lacrimestoppers.org.

Source materials for this episode cannot be listed here due to character limitations.
